Custom Die Sets

Anchor Lamina's custom die sets are made to customer specifications. Custom die set specifications differ with each order and typically include the size of the die set, the location of the pins, the thickness of the steel, the type of bushings and the special machining required. Our engineering department reviews each customer drawing prior to manufacture. Anchor Lamina builds a full range of custom die sets from the very smallest to very large die sets measuring 120" x 360" (3000 x 9000 mm). Turn-around time for custom die set manufacture is approximately two to six weeks depending on size and complexity of the die set.

Precision Die Sets

Anchor Lamina's precision die sets are made to exacting tolerances. The punch holder and die holder are parallel within 0.0005 inch (0.013 mm). The die set assembly is parallel within 0.001 inch (0.025 mm) on left to right and front to rear dimensions. Location of pins and bushings are within 0.0005 inch (0.013 mm). Upper and lower plates are ground to 0.0003 inch (0.008 mm). Precision die sets are available in 2-post, center-post and 4-post styles to your specifications.

Standard Die Sets

Stock die sets are manufactured to standard dimensions with respect to pin size and location and the thickness of steel used. A wide selection of standard die sets is available in stock. You can choose from two and four post models, in both plain and ball bearing styles. Anchor Lamina's standard line of die sets has fully interchangeable components with each size. Standard die sets are stocked and ready to ship.
